More info

The smallest Z-Wave blind driver on the market

The Qubino Flush Shutter micromodule or "pickup" is the smallest Z-Wave module in the world capable of controlling shutter motors, roller or pulley systems, blinds, etc. You can control it remotely through the Z-Wave network or through wall switches / push buttons. It also measures the power consumption and supports the connection of a digital temperature sensor.

Qubino Flush Shutter

What is it for?

The Qubino Flush Shutter retractable micromodule is ideal for remotely controlling the motors of blinds, rollers, curtains, venetian blinds and sun screens, concealment for windows ... or similar.

This Qubino micro-module Z-Wave for the control of venetian blinds, blinds and blinds, allows to measure the electric consumption of the shutter motor connected in watts and the total consumption in kWh. The electrical consumption data can easily be picked up by your home automation controller.

In addition, now has a new functionality for tilting slats very useful in the application of this Qubino Flush Shutter micromodule for control of blinds application for the control of Venetian blinds.

Energy control

The control for blinds Z-Wave Qubino Flush Shutter , makes measurement of electrical consumption of the connected electrical device and of itself, when it is in "standby" only consumes 0.4 W.

Very versatile

The control for blinds, which some mistakenly call wifi blinds control, Qubino Flush Shutter , can operate through a wide range of temperatures from cold -10ÚC to suffocating 40ÚC (14Ú 104ÚF). It supports the connection of a digital temperature sensor, which is also useful for creating complex scenarios. Each module also acts as a repeater in order to improve the range and stability of the Z-Wave network.

The simplest installation

The extremely small size and a specially designed housing mean that the connection of the module inside a recessed mounting box is simple. The installation process, tested and approved by professional electricians , consists of only three simple steps:

1 - Remove the switches from the box and disconnect the cables.
2 - Connect the cables to the Qubino module and insert them into the box.
3 - Fix the switches to the box.

Installation Qubino Flush Shutter

The most proven and reliable Z-Wave modules

Qubino's Z-Wave modules are install-and-forget products. The Qubino products that we offer, are manufactured to last, so they only use electronic components that meet the most demanding levels of quality. Our modules are also the most tested Z-Wave micromodules on the market. The Slovenian Institute of Quality and Measurement (SIQ), an independent European entity, checks the quality of the actual parameters of our products, including temperature increases, manufacturing, insulation resistance, electrical consumption and overloads according to European standards of the highest quality according to the specification of standard EN 60669-2-1.

Additional parameters for professionals.

The Qubino Flush Shutter micromodule has 13 additional parameters for expert use. Some of the most useful are:

  • Reports of power in Watts in the energy consumption for Q1 or Q2
  • Define the selection between two available operating modes
  • Define the time required for the blinds to complete the complete cycle

The micromodule can be controlled either through a Z-Wave network or through a wall switch. This module has been designed to be mounted inside a mechanism box and hidden behind a conventional wall switch.

Slats position
This parameter defines slats position after up/down movement through Z-wave or push-buttons. • default value 1 • 0 - Slats return to previously set position only in case of Z-wave control (not valid for limit switch positions). • 1 - Slats return to previously set position in case of Z-wave control, push-button operation or when the lower limit switch is reached.

Motor moving up/down time
This parameter defines Shutter motor moving time of complete opening or complete closing. NOTE: Important is that the reference position to manually set moving time is always Shutter lower position! Set parameter 74 to 0 and move the Shutter (using up/down push buttons or main controller UI) to the lowest desired position. On this Shutter position, set parameter 74 to time for complete opening or complete closing. At this point Shutter can be moved up (open) for set time, but can't be moved down because this position is already set as lower Shutter position. To change Shutter lower position below already set (manual recalibration), parameter 74 must be set to 0 and repeat the procedure described above. In case Shutter has limit switches, but anyhow you would like to limit opening/closing position by time, you can still do it. In case you put time that is longer that opening/closing real time limited by limit switches, Shutter will stop at limit switch, but the module relay will switch off after define time, not by Shutter limit switch. Take in consideration that in this condition, the positioning with slider through UI will not show correct Shutter position.

– Power consumption max delay time
This parameter defines the max time before motor power consumption is read after one of the relays is switched ON. If there is no power consumption during this max time (motor not connected, damaged or requires higher time to start, motor in end position) the relay will switch OFF. Time is defined by entering it manually.

Time delay for next motor movement
This parameter defines the minimum time delay between next motor movement (minimum time between switching motor off and on again).

Inclusion
• Connect module to power supply (with

temperature sensor connected - if purchased),

• auto-inclusion (works for about 5 seconds after connected to power supply) or

• press push button I1 three times within 3s (3 times change switch state within 3 seconds) or

• press service button S (only applicable for 24 V SELV supply voltage) for more than 2 second.

NOTE1: For auto-inclusion procedure, first set main controller into inclusion mode and then connect module to power supply.

NOTE2: When connecting temperature sensor to module that has already been included, you have to exclude module first. Switch off power supply, connect the sensor and re-include the module.

Exclusion
• Connect module to power supply

• bring module within maximum 1 meter (3 feet) of the main controller,

• enable add/remove mode on main controller,

• press push button I1 five times within 3s (5 times change switch state within 3 seconds) in the first 60 seconds after the module is connected to the power supply or

• press service button S (only applicable for 24 V SELV supply voltage) for more than 6 second.

By this function all parameters of the module are set to default values and own ID is deleted.

If push button I1 is pressed three times within 3s (or service button S is pressed more than 2 and less than 6 seconds) module is excluded, but configuration parameters are not set to default values.

NOTE: Please use this procedure only when the network primary controller is missing or otherwise inoperable.

NOTE: If the module is included with parameters 71 with value different to default and module reset is done, wait at least 30s before next inclusion

Factory Reset
• press push button I1 five times within 3s (5 times change switch state within 3 seconds) in the first 60 seconds after the module is connected to the power supply or

• press service button S (only applicable for 24 V SELV supply voltage) for more than 6 second.

NOTE: Please use this procedure only when the network primary controller is missing or otherwise inoperable.

Nada complicado
