More info

Make your lights smart. With little.

The Nano Dimmer from Aeotec greatly improves the lighting of your home. The third generation of invisible lighting controller from Aeotec surpasses all of the above. The gradation is softer. The compatibility is wider. The lighting is faster and more receptive. Automation and intelligence have never been so powerful. And it comes in such a small size, that you will be surprised at the many features built into it.

Perfect lighting is a part of every truly intelligent home. Lighting that reacts. It is always a good shine. It is always on when you need it and turned off when you do not want it. But perfect lighting has never been easy.

In contrast, perfect lighting was too complicated to achieve. In the past, to automate your lights in Z-Wave you had to worry about the type of wiring you have, if your lighting is up and down and if you are using TRIAC or thyristors. Very complicated. An incorrect configuration and its connected lighting will quickly become a connected headache.

More of that. The Nano Dimmer offers intelligent and connected lighting without any problem.

Easy to install
The Nano Dimmer allows you to add new and existing lights to your Z-Wave system. Makes your lights smarter It makes them sensitive. It gives you the opportunity to control them, vary them and program them.

All this control and intelligence comes from the simple wiring of the Nano Dimmer behind an existing wall switch.

With the AEOTEC Nano Dimmer, switchable and adjustable electrical installations such as lighting or ceiling fans can be integrated into a Z-Wave network. Therefore, the connected load can be switched and attenuated wirelessly via Z-Wave and locally via the existing wall switch. The AEOTEC Nano Dimmer automatically adjusts to the connected lighting and, therefore, can be used with various types of lighting (LED, dimmable LED, CFL, fluorescent, incandescent, halogen). Combined with an appropriate Bypass, it can even dim low-power LEDs and compact fluorescent lamps that use less than 20 watts.

The compact radio module (60% smaller than its predecessor Micro Dimmer) is placed in a wall box just behind the normal switch. The switch is no longer directly connected to the load, but acts as an input device for the AEOTEC insert that controls the load. The switch only sends a control signal to the insert that controls the load again. The solution works with all switch designs. You can use a momentary or lever switch. The use of wall boxes with a depth of 65 mm is recommended. But smaller boxes with a depth of only 45 mm can also be used if there is enough space behind the switch. The space available depends on the size of the traditional switch, the dimensions of the wall box and the amount of additional wiring placed in this box.

Description:Aeotec Nano Dimmer is a Z-Wave Smart Dimmer specifically used to enable Z-Wave command and control (on/off/dim) of any wall switches. It can report immediate wattage consumption or kWh energy usage over a period of time. In the event of power failure, non-volatile memory retains all programmed information relating to the unit’s operating status. It can connect to 2 external manual switches to control the load ON/OFF independently. Its surface has a pin socket, which can be used for connecting to the touch panel, so you can also use the touch panel to control the Nano Dimmer. The Nano Dimmer is also a security Z-Wave plus device and supports Over The Air (OTA) feature for the products firmware upgrade.
