With the Zigbee Digital IO Module, you can connect conventional wired devices to a Zigbee network, allowing your devices to communicate and receive information wirelessly.

The IO module can be connected to a wide range of devices. For example, the IO module can be connected to a heat pump and activated when other devices in the building do not require as much electricity. This reduces the load on the electrical network. Connected to an access system, the IO module allows wireless control of automatic doors through a Zigbee home automation controller.

The IO Module is also interoperable with other Zigbee devices, allowing for example to connect blinds to a Zigbee Motion Sensor, so that the blinds close when the sensor detects high light. The IO module could also be connected to an electrical system that lifts a door or window open slightly when an air quality or humidity sensor detects high humidity levels.

Additionally, each input can also be configured as an IAS alarm to connect wired alarm systems and sensors to the Zigbee network.
